Scope of Services
The chaplaincy and spiritual care services provided by Spiritual Care Partners are intended to offer spiritual, emotional, and existential support. Our chaplains are here to provide a non-judgmental presence, compassionate listening, and guidance to help you explore your personal beliefs, values, and spiritual journey.
Not Medical, Mental Health, or Legal Advice
Chaplaincy services are spiritual in nature and are not a substitute for professional medical, psychiatric, psychological, or legal advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Our chaplains do not act as licensed therapists, counselors, doctors, or legal advisors. If you are experiencing a medical or psychological crisis, please contact your nearest emergency services, healthcare provider, or a licensed mental health professional.
No Guarantee of Outcomes
While we strive to provide a supportive environment, Spiritual Care Partners makes no guarantees or promises regarding specific outcomes, results, or the resolution of personal or emotional distress. Your personal growth, healing, and life decisions remain entirely your own responsibility.
Confidentiality and Limits
Our chaplains adhere to a high standard of professional and ethical conduct regarding your privacy, and we are committed to protect confidentiality to the fullest extent allowed by law. However, chaplain-client communications do not constitute legally recognized “privileged communication” (such as attorney-client or strictly licensed therapist-client privilege). Nonetheless, we would only disclose information without your consent if required by law, or if your chaplain has reason to believe you pose an imminent threat of harm to yourself or others, or in cases of suspected child or elder abuse.
Limitation of Liability
By engaging in our services, you agree that Juris Care Partners, its officers, employees, volunteers, and chaplains shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, emotional distress, or personal loss arising from or related to the spiritual care provided. You knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with your voluntary participation.
